Senior Group Accountant – Finance Systems & Transformation

About the role

LGT, the largest private banking and asset management group owned by an entrepreneurial family and the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, is looking for a Senior Group Accountant (80–100 %). You will combine group accounting with responsibility for the group's finance systems and processes, working closely with group companies, IT and other specialist teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly and annual closings and IFRS group reporting, and answer accounting and system-related questions from group companies.
• Provide global support for consolidation and accounting systems and develop them from a business perspective, especially data flows, mappings, validations and access rights.
• Investigate data discrepancies and system issues and coordinate solutions with IT, external partners and specialist teams.
• Drive standardisation and automation in Group Accounting and support the implementation of new business requirements.
• Help develop finance processes and systems, bringing an accounting perspective to cross-functional projects.

Required profile

• Advanced qualification in accounting or finance, such as a bachelor's or master's degree, or a certified expert qualification in accounting and controlling, or an equivalent.
• Experience in accounting, consolidation or financial reporting, with good knowledge of IFRS.
• Structured, independent approach, including during closing periods, and the ability to act as a bridge between Accounting, IT and external partners.
• Fluency in German and English.

Required skills

• Understanding of data flows and interfaces between finance systems.
• Experience in data analysis, automation or implementing digital solutions.
• Functional support for consolidation or ERP systems is an advantage, particularly knowledge of Abacus.
