Strategy & Business Development Intern

About the role

INFICON is seeking a motivated Strategy & Business Development Intern to support the Division President and VP of Product Management & Marketing on high‑impact strategic projects. The internship offers hands‑on experience in market entry, portfolio analysis, and growth strategy within a leading industrial instrumentation company.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover growth opportunities.
• Develop organic and inorganic strategies for entering new markets.
• Analyze the product portfolio and assess its strategic alignment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather data and insights.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for new business ideas.
• Work closely with senior leadership on confidential strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or a related technical field.
• Currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration, Management, Economics or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience handling large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team.
