Product Management Intern

About the role

INFICON is seeking a passionate Technical Product Management Intern for its Vacuum Control Products Division in Balzers, Liechtenstein. You will work closely with product management and engineering teams, supporting new product configurations, technical specifications, and market requirements for vacuum control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of new product configurations in collaboration with R&D and engineering.
• Translate market and customer requirements into technical product specifications.
• Assist with technical feasibility assessments and design trade‑off discussions.
• Review prototypes and product development milestones alongside engineers.
• Help define product requirement documents (PRDs) and technical roadmaps.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
• Analyze the product portfolio for technical and strategic alignment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather insights and data.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field (currently pursuing or recent graduate).
• Genuine interest in product management within a technical, engineering‑driven environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and ability to work with technical data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Proactive attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
