Transportation Operations Coordinator

About the role

As a Transportation Operations Coordinator you will oversee and improve the performance of Hilti’s global 3PL replenishment network. You will be part of the Transport Management System (TMS) rollout, gradually taking ownership of transportation planning and ensuring seamless day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor 3PL performance (air and ocean), conduct monthly/quarterly review meetings and implement corrective actions.
• Drive service quality improvements with 3PL partners to achieve OTD ≥ 95% and sustain performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for daily operational escalations, coordinating timely resolutions with 3PLs.
• Manage air‑ and sea‑freight damage and claims, working with Hilti Insurance and carriers.
• Support the rollout and operational planning of the new TMS, including planning, change management and problem resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business or equivalent vocational training.
• 1‑3 years of experience in international shipping coordination.
• Practical experience with a Transportation Management System or ERP.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms and international air/sea freight processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities; able to work under pressure.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
