Technical Project Manager – Electronics

About the role

Hilti is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead the electronics development of its direct fastening tools. You will own the complete lifecycle of sensors, electronic subsystems, battery interfaces, electric motors and embedded software, working closely with the Project Leader and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electronics scope of new product development projects, defining requirements, architectures and roadmaps.
• Coordinate hardware and software development across internal teams, suppliers and external partners.
• Ensure seamless integration of electronics into the overall tool system while balancing performance, cost, timing and manufacturability.
• Drive verification, validation and technical approval activities to meet product and regulatory standards.
• Manage technical risks, changes and issue resolution throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Support product care by handling component sustainability, technical improvements, service readiness and field issue resolution.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems or a related field.
• Proven experience in electronic product development for complex mechatronic or battery‑powered products.
• Strong expertise in system integration, risk mitigation and decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
