Senior Java Backend Developer – Part‑Time (Remote)

About the role

We are a FinTech company transforming high‑risk market payments with a digital identity layer. As a Senior Java Backend Developer you will design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend services and APIs for mission‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Java.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs consumed by internal and external applications.
• Lead database design, optimization and query performance tuning for PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Write clean, testable code, participate in code reviews and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability and performance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Java.
• Strong understanding of core Java, JVM internals and RESTful API design.
• Proven experience with relational databases and SQL performance tuning.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
