Apprenticeship as a Computer Scientist – Platform Development

About the role

LGT offers a four‑year apprenticeship that combines a solid foundation year with rotations across six core IT departments. You will work on platform development projects, gain hands‑on experience with modern technologies, and contribute to real‑world solutions that support the bank’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the internal foundation year in Bendern to build core IT knowledge.
• Rotate through six core IT departments, participating in diverse projects.
• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining platform components.
• Collaborate with experienced trainers and cross‑functional teams on daily tasks.
• Take responsibility for assigned work items and deliver results in a professional environment.

Required profile

• Curious and motivated to understand how technology works in practice.
• Good academic performance in Realschule (Liechtenstein) or Sekundarschule (Switzerland), especially in mathematics‑related subjects.
• Logical thinking, proactive problem‑solving attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Interest in computers, digital systems, and shaping future IT solutions.
