Senior FreeCAD Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior FreeCAD Engineer to join our remote team, delivering high‑quality parametric CAD models for mechanical products. The role focuses on creating, optimizing, and validating detailed designs that meet strict manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD according to project specifications.
• Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies, ensuring proper component integration.
• Apply GD&T and Design for Manufacturing principles to guarantee manufacturability and quality.
• Generate precise technical drawings and documentation for engineering review and downstream processes.
• Conduct engineering QA reviews of CAD models and drawings, identifying and communicating issues.
• Utilize Python scripting to automate repetitive or complex modeling tasks (preferred).
• Collaborate with the team by providing feedback on model accuracy, design intent, and process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or related fields with a focus on parametric CAD modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD or an equivalent parametric CAD platform.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals, including GD&T and DFM best practices.
• Proven ability to produce comprehensive technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Experience conducting engineering QA and verifying model integrity against specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills for remote, project‑based collaboration.
