Google Cloud Platform Architect (Remote)

About the role

Join a global consulting team to lead the modernization of legacy mainframe applications on Google Cloud Platform. You will work remotely with distributed engineering teams, translating business‑critical legacy systems into modern cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and drive application modernization initiatives, re‑architecting legacy or mainframe‑class systems into Java, Go, or .NET on GCP.
• Design data architecture solutions on GCP, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
• Communicate with client stakeholders to understand and convey the business importance of the systems being modernized.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams within a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven experience in application modernization and re‑architecting legacy systems.
• Strong background in data architecture on GCP, especially BigQuery and pipeline design.
• Consulting or professional services experience with client‑facing delivery.
• Experience with AI engineering practices such as harness engineering or spec‑driven design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
