Credit Risk Controller (80-100% FTE)

About the role

LGT is seeking a Credit Risk Controller to strengthen the monitoring and reporting functions of its independent risk management team. Working as part of the second line of defence, you will independently assess credit risk methods and models, discuss key findings with the credit department, and report significant risks to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enhance data‑driven, risk‑based monitoring of the lending portfolio, analysing key credit risk drivers.
• Develop quantitative valuation methods and stress‑test frameworks for credit risk.
• Prepare and continuously improve regular risk reports for committees, escalating material risks promptly.
• Validate and monitor all credit‑risk‑relevant models, assumptions and parameters.
• Collaborate with specialist departments to address identified weaknesses or heightened risk exposures.
• Act as deputy when required.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in banking, finance, economics or a quantitative discipline.
• Relevant experience in banking, preferably in credit risk management.
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to interpret complex relationships.
• Independent, meticulous work style with high reliability and responsibility.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.

Required skills

• SQL or comparable data query and analysis language.
