Deskside Support

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a Deskside Support professional to join its IT Operations Service Support (OSS) team. You will provide on‑site and remote assistance for a range of local IT services, handling user incidents, requests, and managing infrastructure components in collaboration with service owners and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day support operations for end‑users and business key users.
• Work with Infrastructure Operations and Engineering to meet Service Level Objectives, security and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with Service Owners to manage local and legacy services.
• Drive continuous improvement of support processes and service quality.
• Participate in IT compliance and infrastructure development projects as a senior engineer when required.
• Manage business integration, promote standard IT services, and handle escalations.
• Take part in the duty‑ring rotation, ensuring rapid response within two hours from the home base.

Required profile

• Strong service mindset with a focus on delivering reliable IT support.
• Good business understanding and ability to communicate with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience across multiple technology domains such as servers, storage, communication technology, managed desktop services, and application services.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
