Language Specialist – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Language Specialist to evaluate interactions between humans and large language models (LLMs). This contract position is fully remote and offers flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze conversation transcripts between users and LLMs for accuracy and clarity.
• Assess model responses against established instruction‑following guidelines.
• Provide written and verbal feedback on output quality, highlighting grammatical, usage, and contextual errors.
• Document findings and actionable recommendations in organized reports.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify evaluation criteria and resolve ambiguities.

Required profile

• Native proficiency in U.S. English.
• Advanced academic background or extensive professional experience in linguistics or a related field.
• Proven expertise in written communication with nuanced linguistic assessments.
• Exceptional attention to language detail and ability to convey insights clearly.
• Experience with guideline‑ or rubric‑based evaluation is preferred.
