Bank Vault & Precious Metals Specialist (80-100% FTE)

About the role

The successful candidate will ensure the secure and efficient operation of LGT’s bank vault, safe‑deposit‑box and precious‑metals services. Working with a high level of discretion, you will protect client assets while maintaining strict compliance and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the bank vault, maintaining accurate, complete and traceable inventory records.
• Process purchases, sales, deposits, deliveries and hand‑overs of physical precious metals in a professional manner.
• Oversee safe‑deposit‑box services, including opening, amendments, access arrangements and termination.
• Verify client identities and access authorisations, documenting all activities in line with internal controls.
• Apply security, dual‑control and monitoring procedures, flagging irregularities and escalating as required.
• Support cash‑desk operations with professional handling of cash transactions when needed.

Required profile

• Completed banking or commercial apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a banking environment, preferably in vault management, safe‑deposit‑box services, precious metals or valuables logistics.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, anti‑money‑laundering and internal‑control requirements, or ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude and reliable, structured work style.
• Physical ability to lift, carry and move loads up to 30 kg.
• Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency.
