Trading Business Risk Manager (80-100%)

About the role

LGT is seeking a Trading Business Risk Manager to strengthen risk management and governance across its Trading & Treasury activities. You will work closely with trading desks, legal, compliance, operational risk and other stakeholders in multiple international locations, identifying and mitigating operational, compliance and legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse trading processes to uncover operational, compliance and legal risks, close control gaps and drive process and system improvements.
• Enhance the Best Execution Monitoring framework, turning execution‑quality analysis into actionable insights for senior management.
• Investigate operational risk events in trading and implement measures to address weaknesses in internal controls.
• Maintain, test and continuously improve Business Continuity Management capabilities to boost operational resilience.
• Manage third‑party risks for selected trading applications, including user‑access administration and service‑provider oversight.
• Maintain trading governance directives that define responsibilities, manage conflicts of interest and ensure segregation of duties.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects in collaboration with Trading, Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk and other key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Curious, highly engaged and proactive with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and financial products.
• Relevant experience in trading, operations, risk management, compliance, audit or a related banking function.
• Good understanding of trading‑related regulation, operational risk and internal‑control frameworks.
• Proven ability to analyse complex processes, identify risks and develop pragmatic solutions.
